Workshops and Skill Nights
Structured, hands-on learning sessions that reinforce core technical fundamentals and responsible practice.
Community and Service
Volunteer initiatives and peer support that strengthen confidence, belonging, and long-term student success.
Professional Speaker Series
What to Expect
Each session includes a focused talk, moderated Q&A, and a brief closing segment that connects the theme to student preparation. Attendance is encouraged even when topics feel advanced, because professional expectations are learned through exposure and consistency.
What You Gain
Students leave with practical guidance, vocabulary for interviews, and a clearer view of how classroom skills translate into real roles. When applicable, we provide recommended follow-up learning tasks.
Workshops and Skill Nights
Hands-On by Design
Workshops are intentionally practical. Topics rotate based on what students commonly need: cloud fundamentals, IAM basics, networking refreshers, documentation habits, and professional tooling.
Guided, Not Rushed
The pace is steady and supportive. Students are encouraged to ask questions, work through small problems, and leave with a clear understanding of what they accomplished and why it matters.
Community and Service
Peer Support and Mentoring
We promote a respectful culture where students help students. Mentoring and peer support activities are structured so that participation remains consistent, fair, and genuinely useful.
Outreach that Reflects Well
Service projects are selected to represent the chapter with professionalism. When possible, activities are aligned with campus initiatives and community needs.
UPE Events and Recognition
Academic Excellence, Formally Recognized
UPE events are planned with a traditional academic tone and clear expectations. This includes recognition moments, induction-related communication, and opportunities for members to serve the computing community with distinction.
